Lt Phillips knows what he is doing at Yazoo Prison 1. After the lockdown at Yazoo Federal Prison in Yazoo, Mississippi; set forth on this website under The Second Needless Torture Lockdown at Yazoo Prison and Exactly What Transpired, a few things changed at Yazoo. 2. Warden Pettiford was removed. Assistant Warden Mitchel was removed. O. D. Holland, king pin of the slave labor sweatshop UNICOR was removed. The food improved and the food poisoning subsided. 3. For three years at Yazoo when there was a little fog, the prisoners were locked into their housing units without food for extensive periods of time. Not on Sunday, October 24, 2004 – Lt. Phillips was in charge at Yazoo, and knew exactly how to maintain security and still feed the prisoners on time and on schedule. Hail! Hail! Lt. Phillips 4. At Yazoo, breakfast is normally served at 6:00 A.M. during the week; 7:00 A.M. on weekends; with lunch being served starting at 10:30 A.M. and dinner starting at 5:00 P.M. for 2,100 prisoners. 5. Normally if there is fog, breakfast that would normally be served at 6:00 A.M., would not be served until 9 or 10 A.M. and all prisoners would be locked into their units. As soon as breakfast was served lunch would be served, which few prisoners ate, as they were full from breakfast. In other words when there was fog, prisoners usually ate only two meals. 6. Lt. Phillips knew exactly what to do, to feed the prisoners on time and still maintain full security. It is quite obvious that the previous BOP employees running Yazoo, or the ones that were not around on Oct. 24, 2004 when Lt. Phillips was, have no idea how to feed prisoners and maintain security when a little fog sets in. It appears Lt. Phillips is much more qualified to run a prison compound than his current superiors. |
