A STAR OVER GEORGIA

The Law Shined Bright in Mcintosh County Georgia

James Kimball, the main subject of this website, is / was awaiting federal court hearings in federal court Brunswick Georgia when he fell deathly ill the early morning of May 27, 2009.  Kimball was being held at the Mcintosh County Jail in Darien, Georgia – awaiting pleadings in the Federal Court in Brunswick.

For the past few years, Kimball has been suffering from serious life-threatening medical ailments that Kimball attributes directly to the deliberate torture that he received while in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP).  An arterial aneurysm and high blood pressure were just 2 of his serious medical conditions.

On the morning of May 27, 2009 – Kimball on his way to eat – felt dizzy and everything went blurry.  From what Kimball was told and what he overheard coming in and out of consciousness was that a very alert jail guard (Mr. Strictland) saw Kimball in trouble - called for help - Officer Thomas and Officer Ashley were fast on the scene with a wheel-chair - as was officer Ellison, who was unable tos ecure any blood pressure from Kimball after 3 attempts.  At that time, all the guards jumped into action – calling an EMT (Emergency Medical Team) Ambulance and expediting Kimball in a wheelchair to the front of the jail awaiting the arrival of the EMT unit.

Once in the ambulance, Kimball remembers the first blood pressure being read off which was 66 over 44 – then was stated an erratic heartbeat – fluttering.  The 2 females consisting of the medical team finally raised Kimball’s blood pressure enough to begin transport to a hospital in Brunswick, Georgia.

When Kimball first arrived in Mcintosh County Jail, he couldn’t help but notice – for the most part – the staff at the jail were not only friendly – but appeared concerned with regard to the older prisoners with health concerns.  Kimball clearly believes that the caring and fast action of the jails guards contributed to saving his life.  Although Kimball has not as yet learned all the jail guards names that assisting in helping him (which will be posted once acquired).  Guard Strictland was (Johnny on the spot) and we applaud him and sincerely thank him.  Lieutenant Marvin LaRuche was instrumental in expediting Kimball to the hospital and staying with him most of the first day.

While in the hospital, Kimball met most of the Sheriff’s departments deputy’s and excepting for one found them to be extremely caring individuals determined to do a great job for the new sheriff Steve Jessup – most all mentioned that Sheriff Jessup was a dramatic improvement over the former sheriff.

Jay Kimball would like to personally thank deputy Steven Teel – deputy John Scott – Lieutenant Marvin LaRoche – Guard Strictland and Guard Blackburn and others not presently known that did that little bit more to help Kimball when he was in trouble medically.  Even the jail chief, Mr. McCollugh, stopped in to see Kimball in the hospital. There is a bunch of good people employed by Mcintsoh County Georgia and Sheriff Jessup has a lot of devoted deputies.  Note: it was determined that Dr. Gunderson, the doctor for the jail, prescribed the wrong medicine that nearly killed Kimball and that Dr. Gunderson lied to Kimball about the danger and size of his life-threatening aneurysm.

A STAR FOR THE U.S. MARSHALS
IN GEORGIA

Jay Kimball wants to sincerely thank the members of the Georgia Marshal service – for arranging a contact visit for Kimball and his family in Brunswick Hospital. Sincere thanks to Chief Marshal Tom Morefield – Supervisor Rem Suarey – and Marshal Donny Foster.  Kimball has witnessed more compassion and caring from the people of southern Georgia then he ever has from the people of the Tampa Bay area in Florida.
