20. David Butler, BOP #06352-043, age approximately 58.

Prisoner Butler was sentenced as a first time offender to one year in prison for a minor tax violation.

Mr. Butler is a wheelchair-bound, federal prisoner, with serious medical conditions. The BOP has well proven over a 30-year period, that they are unwilling to professionally care for prisoners in serious medical conditions even in their best medical prisons.

Prisoner Butler was selected, not to a medical prison, but to a Disciplinary PunishmentPrison, FCI Yazoo, in Yazoo, Mississippi where professional medical treatment is all but non-existent.

The federal court that sentenced Mr. Butler was well aware of Mr. Butler's serious medical ailments, as was the BOP. Yet Butler's judge put him in prison anyway.

Prisoner Butler is afflicted with neuropathy, diabetes, severe arthritis and confined to a wheelchair.

Soon after Mr. Butler's arrival at Yazoo, humane BOP employees saw the condition prisoner Butler was in, and recommended Mr. Butler for home confinement. That was exceptionally commendable of all the employees at Yazoo prison that participated in Yazoo Prison's recommendation for Mr. Butler to be placed in home confinement.

According to Butler, Yazoo Prison forwarded their recommendation to the BOP Region in Atlanta. The Regional Director, R. E. Holt is the man in charge of Yazoo Prison and its operations along with other prisons in the Southeast region of the U.S.

Faster than it took to acquire the necessary approval at Yazoo Prison to recommend Butler for home confinement, R. E. Holt flatly rejected Yazoo Prison's recommendation for Butler.

BOP Regional Director R. E. Holt is mentioned throughout this web site for his inhumane and retaliatory acts, he personally has perpetrated against a multitude of federal prisoners.

As for prisoner Butler, he will continue to suffer due to an uncaring Federal judge, uncaring BOP, an uncaring incompetent medical department at Yazoo Prison and most of all an inhumane BOP Regional Director named R. E. Holt.
